WASHINGTON, DC – Kyle Lewis continues to add to his resume, becoming just the second Adelphi men's lacrosse student athlete to appear on the first installment of the 2026 Tewaaraton Award Presented by Stifel.

The lists include the top players in college lacrosse and highlight the early contenders for the 2026 Tewaaraton Award.

Founded in 2001, The Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top male and female college lacrosse players in the United States. The selection committees are made up of premier collegiate coaches and are appointed annually by The Tewaaraton Foundation.

Following in Dylan Renner's footsteps as the lone Division II athlete to make the list, he joins one DIII selection (Tufts) and 48 Division I choices. No non-DI student-athlete has ever won the Tewaaraton.

"The Adelphi and lacrosse community has helped me grow so much over the past four years and I am extremely grateful for them," said the senior out of Franklin Square, N.Y.. "We have to stay focused on the next three months and the opportunity to make history."

Lewis comes off a campaign where he netted the overtime gamewinner to give the Panthers their second consecutive and ninth NCAA Division II Championship trophy overall.

While he may be the second men's honoree, he joins 11 women's lacrosse student-athletes from Adelphi. Most recently was Kole Pollock, who earned a spot in back-to-back seasons (2020,2021) and a list that dates back to Hall of Famer Katherine Hock '05 as the first ever athlete to be included from Garden City.
