Mansfield, Mass. — The Adelphi women's tennis team is coming off of a successful 2024-25 campaign, finishing as runners-up in the Northeast 10 Championship and earning a bid to the NCAA East Regional. In 2025-26 the NE10 Coaches see an even better finish for the Panthers as they tabbed them as preseason favorites in the latest poll released by the league office Wednesday afternoon.
The Panthers earned six first place votes, ahead of Southern New Hampshire who received one.
Of the six all-conference selections Adelphi had last season, five of them return in Katarina Liedbeck, Roisin Boyd, Zuzanna Wikowska, Genesis Beltran and Sara Lindeman.
The group earned a 7-1 conference record, falling only to conference champion New Haven.
ITA East Region Doubles Champions Liedbeck and Boyd look to return to form while Witkowksa will try to once again go undefeated as she did in the fall season.
Head coach Rebecca Fakas and the Panthers open up their season on Thursday, September 11 when the Panthers travel to Division I LIU.
