7/9/2025 11:00:00 AM

Mansfield, Mass. — On Wednesday, the Northeast-10 continued to honor its student-athletes with its announcement of the Spring 2025 Sport Excellence Awards.

Marko Jovanovic of the men's tennis team became Adelphi's first three-time honoree in school history.

The Belgrade, Serbia native ended his Adelphi career with some historic accolades. He became the first Panther to be named NE10 Player of the Year three times and just the fourth to ever do so while also being named to the CSC All-America Academic First Team for the third straight year.

Jovanovic ended his 2025 campaign with a 17-3 singles record as Adelphi's No. 1 singles player, going an undefeated 6-0 in conference play. He finished the year with nine straight victories and never lost a set in postseason play as he led the Cats to their second straight NE10 title and first ever NCAA East Region win. In the classroom, he earned a 3.986 GPA in accounting with a minor of finance while also serving as the VP of the Accounting Society.

To be eligible for Academic All-Conference and Sport Excellence honors, a student-athlete must have started at least half or played in two-thirds of all contests while making significant contributions and maintaining a 3.3 grade-point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale.
