Manchester, N.H. — As it was announced on Tuesday night, the Adelphi University Department of Athletics repeated as Northeast 10 Conference Presidents Cup and Founders Cup (formerly the men's sports cup) champions in 2024-25. The league office presented these honors at the conference's annual awards banquet on Tuesday night in Manchester.
For the second consecutive season, Adelphi captured both the Presidents Cup and the Founders cup, the schools first time repeating as Presidents Cup champions since 2016-17.
The Presidents Cup is presented annually to signify overall athletic excellence in the NE10. It is awarded to the institution that complies the most cumulative points based upon regular-season finished in team sports and final placement at the annual NE10 Championships in individual sports.
The Panthers claimed the cup by 1.5 points, edging Bentley. Adelphi and Bentley also were in a battle for the Founders and Pioneers Cups (formerly the women's sports cup). The Cats came out on top in the Founders fight, but narrowly came in second for the Pioneers Cup, being only 1.5 points behind in second place.
The Panthers were lifted by strong performances across all three seasons, earning four regular season titles across them.
