North Attleboro, Mass. - Coming off another successful athletic campaign, the Adelphi University athletic department highlighted the Northeast 10 Conference's release of its Team Academic Excellence Award winners for the 2024-25 season, recognizing the NE10 programs with the highest team GPA in each sport. 

In all, the Panthers posted a team-leading seven teams (out of 23) with the highest GPA - up three from last year. It also led the league by four, as the next highest institutions were Bentley and American International College with three apiece. For the full list of winners, see below.

"Our student-athletes continue to get the job done on their respective surfaces of play and in the classroom," said Adelphi Director of Athletics and Campus Recreation Danny McCabe. "Division II really does challenge our athletes to find the balance - not only are we finding it, but we are excelling."

All 21 programs in Garden City posted a 3.0 cumulative team GPA or better in 2024-25, as the league saw 82.6% of teams at that same threshold. Adelphi was one of three schools to have each team meet 3.0 or higher, and a near 25 percent of programs (55 teams) saw a 3.50 or better - ten of Adelphi's teams were included inside that range.

The NE10's full membership GPA for the year was 3.245. If we add in the four associate schools, it goes up to a 3.247 GPA.
