Austin, Texas — College Sports Communicators announced its At-Large Academic All-District Teams for both the men and women on Tuesday afternoon and all 12 Panthers nominated received the honor.
The six women being named to the all-district team are Emiline Biggin, Amanda Lee, Filippa Schulze Doering, Danielle Becker, Ashley Kolomechuk and Rita Sefransky. The squad includes two IWLCA All-Americans in Kolemechuk and Sefransky and six Northeast-10 all-conference members with Lee, Shulze Doering, Becker, Kolomechuk and Sefransky picking up first team honors.
Lee became the Adelphi field hockey program's all-time leading scorer while also being a key starter on the women's lacrosse team.
Biggin and Becker had the highest grade-point averages of the bunch, receiving cumulative marks of 3.933 and 3.937 respectively. All six Cats have been considered for All-American status, which will be announced on July 8th.
On the men's side, Kyle Lewis, Michael Durnin, Ryan Durnin, Ryan Bauco, Mason Rivera and Alec Ramos made the team. Lewis, Bauco and the Durnin brothers were all named USILA All-Americans along with being apart of the Adelphi men's lacrosse back-to-back championship team with Lewis scoring the overtime winner.
Ramos and Rivera were key starters for the Adelphi men's golf program that made its return to the NCAA East Regional Tournament. Rivera paced all male Panther all-district selections with a 3.97 GPA. Lewis, Durnin, Durnin and Bauco are up for consideration for the Academic All-American team which is to be announced on July 9th.
