Garden City, N.Y. - At the start of May, the Adelphi University athletic department held its annual End of the Year Award Ceremony to honor the success of the individuals and teams that represent the Panthers throughout the year in competition as well as in the classroom and in the community.

Held on campus in the Performing Arts Center, student-athletes, coaches and staff gathered to recognize the accomplishments - at the time of the event - and highlight key moments from throughout the year. 

Before diving into the awards portion, Danny McCabe, Director of Athletics selected senior track and field athlete Andre Francis to serve as the program's Senior Speaker. He spent his stage time offering words of reflection and inspiration from his four year career with the Panthers. In that span he was a two-time gold medalist in the throws department and earned his degree in exercise science. He will be returning to campus in the fall to begin his graduate assistantship for the exercise science program, as he pursue's his master's degree. 

The main portion of the ceremony featured a senior and team MVP recognition, followed by the major awards for the school year. Award winners are listed below - releases for each of the awards will be posted throughout the month.
