Dallas, Texas – After picking up major awards from the Northeast-10, D2CCA, and National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA), the honors continue to pour in for Adelphi baseball's Dawson Montesa as he was announced as a D2CCA first team All-American and NCBWA third team All-American.

Montesa is the Adelphi baseball program's first All-American since Matt Alifano in 2022 and the first Panther to make a NCBWA All-American team since Dillon McNamara in 2013.

The right-hander had a historic season for the Brown and Gold, breaking the program's 14-year old single season strikeout record with his 105th punch out against Molloy on May 2. Montesa was named the team's MVP, led the NE10 in ERA (1.99) wins (eight)  strikeouts (105) and was second in innings pitched (72.1) He was fifth in the nation in strikeouts, fourth in strikeouts-per-nine- (13.06) and tenth in Division II in ERA.
