Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. - After wrapping up the stroke play section of the tournament, Adelphi University men's golf junior Johnny Solari slotted in at 72nd place at this week's NCAA Division II National Championships, held at PGA National Resort. 

The Warwick, N.Y. native impressed the most in his final round, shooting an even 72. In doing so, Solari netted four birdies and nine pars.

Staying consistent through the first two rounds, the junior tallied back-to-back six-over 78's in the tournament's first two rounds. Despite facing some troubles at hole 11 both days, Solari still piled up three birdies and 22 pars. 

Solari stands as the first Adelphi non-senior to advance to the national finals since Louis Kelly in 2014.
