Dallas, Texas — After being named the Northeast-10 Southwest Division Pitcher of the Year, the awards continue to roll in for Adelphi sophomore pitcher Dawson Montesa. 

On Monday afternoon, the right-hander was named the D2CCA Eastior Region Pitcher of the Year, along with being named the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) East Region Pitcher of the Year on Friday. Montesa was also named to both organization's all-region first teams. 

The Glendale, N.Y. native finished the 2025 campaign with a 1.99 ERA and broke the Adelphi single season strikeout record with 105 punch outs across 72.1 innings. He was the Northeast-10 leader in ERA, wins (eight), strikeouts and second in innings pitched. Nationally, Montesa was fifth in Division II in strikeouts, fourth in strikeouts-per-nine (13.06) and tenth in Division II in ERA.
