Northborough, Mass. - The IWLCA has honored 128 student-athletes in Division II with a selection to one of the All-Region teams for 2025, announced on Wednesday. Included for the Adelphi University women's lacrosse team are Sonny Lionetti, Ashley Kolomechuk, Rita Sefransky, Danielle Becker and Marielle Colalillo. 

Lionetti, the Northeast-10 Conference Defensive Player of the Year is a first team selection in 2025. She leads the team in ground balls and sits just behind Second Team honoree Becker in the caused turnover department. The pair combines for 78, helping the program cause over 50 more than their opponents this season. 

Joining Lionetti on the first team are leading scorers Kolomechuk and Sefransky. The duo posts 65 and 42 goals, respectively and have started all 20 games so far this season. The Commack product is 21st nationally in goals and 18th in points overall. Sefransky is thirdon the team in goals and second in draw controls.

Leading the program in draw control wins is Second Team honoree Colalillo, who ranks eighth in the league for draw control wins per game and sits inside the top-100 across Division II. 

These student-athletes are now eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team. The IWLCA will announce the Division II 2025 All-American teams on May 21.

Adelphi women's lacrosse hosts Pace University on Saturday, May 17 in a rematch of the Northeast-10 Conference championship game. The Setters took the regular season matchup, but the Panthers held on in regulation for a one-goal victory in the title game.
