Mansfield, Mass. - Adelphi University women's lacrosse junior Sonny Lionetti takes home the title of Northeast-10 Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the conference office Monday.

With a 15-12 comeback win over St. Anselm College, Lionetti had collected five draw controls making it a new career-high.

She also was responsible for causing four turnovers, which is her second highest mark in a single game this season. 

The Panthers look to stay undefeated at home this season when they take on Assumption University (Apr. 8). They are also looking to stay unbeaten against the Greyhounds and move to 23-0 against them.

And then this weekend, they are on the road against Southern New Hampshire University (Apr. 13),  where they are 15-0 against the Penmen.
