Men's Golf Slots In At 17th In Regional Preview

Erie, Pa. - In a tournament designed to preview the site of the 2025 NCAA Atlantic/East Super Regional, the Adelphi University men's golf team finished in 17th out of 23 competing teams at the Atlantic/East Regional Preview hosted by Gannon University. The tournament took place over the course of Monday and Tuesday at Whispering Woods Golf Club.

The Brown and Gold tallied a 55-over 631 across both rounds. Gannon University and Davis & Elkins College finished in a tie for first place, both compiling a 15-over 591, with Gannon winning a one-hole playoff. 

Johnny Solari had the best showing of any of his Panther teammates, using five birdies to finish in 39th after a four-over 76 in Round 2. 

Newcomer Mitchell Archer slid in at 66th place after an impressive second round of his own, nailing four birdies in that set of 18 holes alone. 

Mason Rivera shot the best round of any Adelphi golfer, handing in a three-over 75 on Monday.

Alec Ramos and Francis Lanuza rounded out the Brown and Gold scorecard, with a 161 and 165, respectively. 

Head Coach David Mattana and the Panthers will tune up for the Atlantic/East Super Regional on Monday, April 28. Then, they'll host Farmingdale State College for a one-day tournament at Meadow Brook Club in Jericho, N.Y..
