Mansfield, Mass. - Following back-to-back first place finishes, the Adelphi University men's golf team has both the Northeast-10 Player and Rookie of the Week, with honors bestowed upon Francis Lanuza and Mitchell Archer, the conference announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Lanuza ran away with the individual championship this past week at the Saint Anselm Florida Invitational, after a strong round one with an even par 72, the Philippines native was lights out in round two, shooting a 67 to finish five-under par for the tournament.

The junior's 67 tied a career best that was previously set in 2023, with the dominating round two being highlighted by an eagle on the back nine.

As for the NE10 Rookie of the Week Archer, he finished right behind Lanuza with an impressive four-under 68 in round one, backed up by a 74 in round two placing him tied for second at two-under par on the leaderboard.

The freshman continued his strong play in the team's second event of the week at the Charger Challenge in Suffern, N.Y.. He finished tied for sixth place overall shooting one-under par for the tournament, helping him capture his first NE10 honor of his young collegiate career.

Lanuza and Archer will join the rest of the Panthers on Monday, April 24th as they look to continue their stellar play at the LIU Tournament, hosted by Long Island University. Play from Brookville Country Club in Glen Head, N.Y. will take place from Monday, April 14 to Tuesday, April 15
