Garden City, N.Y. — Adelphi bowling head coach Arthur O'Connor is excited to announce the Adelphi University Bowling Camp for the summer of 2025.
The camp will be held for five days from August 18-22 at Maple Lanes in Rockville Centre. Each session will be held from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM.
While prospective student-athletes are encouraged to attend, the camp is available to all ages.
Learn from O'Connor how to perfect your timing and swing plane while releasing a ball like a pro. At the camp, you will learn different wrist options, how to properly maintain your bowling equipment and how to spot the ball accurately on the lane based on the oil patterns.
A renowned influencer in the bowling community, O'Connor has been coaching in the youth circuit since 2012 and been the head coach at Adelphi since 2022.
During this time, O'Connor has built a highly-regarded network at Jib Lanes in Queens that has expanded from six youth bowlers in its infancy to over 100 children presently. He was named the USBC David Dahms Coach of the Year in 2021 for his demonstrated commitment to coaching, sportsmanship and knowledge of the organization's rules.
O'Connor's expertise has also made its way over to Maple Lanes as he was appointed as the Director of Coaching in 2018. He mentors individuals and teams for bowling competitions, and helps striving high school athletes find the right college opportunities.
This bowling camp is split into five days with the cost on sliding scale depending on how many days you attend.
One day is $250, two days is $450, three days is $600, four days is $700 and five days is $750. You can pick whichever days you would like to attend.
