Mansfield, Mass. — Nine Panthers have received Northeast-10 academic all-conference honors, the league office announced on Thursday afternoon.
Adelphi's nine selections are the second most winter recipients in school history, narrowly trailing the record of ten which was achieved last year. An exceptional group that includes NE10 swimmer of the year Ryan Kakimseit, all nine met the minimum 3.30 cumulative grade-point average to be eligible for nomination.
Two 'Cats paced the way with GPAs over 3.9. Valencia Beaubrun, who was named USTFCCCA All-Region for the indoor long jump, had the highest Panther GPA with a 3.928.
Jake Chee-A-Tow, a two-time medalist at the NE10 Championships that included a gold in the 400 medley relay, was close behind with a 3.921.
The men's swimming team had the most selections out of any Adelphi squad with four, including gold medalists Connor Singer and Cooper Rivers.

In total, the NE10 honored 72 outstanding student-athletes across seven sports for their excellence in both academic and athletic settings.
