Garden City, N.Y. - The Adelphi University Department of Athletics is pleased to announce the date for its second annual Military/First Responder Appreciation game, and basketball alumni day as January 17. 

On Saturday, January 17, when the basketball programs host Southern New Hampshire in doubleheader action, Adelphi will pay tribute to our military and first responders communities. This event welcomes all alumni, students, active-duty service members, veterans, first responders, and their families.

A special recognition ceremony will take place during halftime of the Men's Basketball game as we celebrate the bravery, dedication, and service of those who defend our freedom. A reception will be hosted at 2:00 p.m. following the start of the women's game at 1:30 p.m.

Additionally, both basketball programs are excited to welcome back their alumni, as the women celebrate the 5th Kerry Hamill Alumni Day, with on-court recognition of its former players at halftime.
