Garden City, N.Y. – Former assistant coach Anthony Angotti rejoins head coach Sade Jackson's staff for the 2025–26 season, the women's basketball program announced this week.
Angotti returns to the Panthers' sideline following a three-year stint at Army West Point, where he served as an assistant coach for the Black Knights' women's basketball team. He previously served as an assistant coach for the Panthers from 2018 to 2021. During his tenure with Army, he took on numerous responsibilities, including developing offensive and defensive rebounding strategies, implementing transition offense systems, and overseeing quality control and player development.
"I am thrilled to welcome Anthony back to Adelphi. His experience and knowledge of the game will immediately elevate our team both on and off the court," said Jackson on Angotti's return to the staff.
"I'm excited to return to Adelphi. I have such fond memories of our past success and look forward to continued success in the future under Coach Jackson's leadership," Angotti said when asked about rejoining the program.
When asked what he will bring to the team following his tenure at Army West Point, Angotti added:
"A detail-oriented approach to coaching. The little things are what separate great teams from average ones. The use of analytics also plays a role, as the numbers don't lie. This approach will lead to consistency and accountability as we move forward toward the start of the regular season."
Angotti will resume his position on the Panthers' sideline for the first time since 2018 as the team opens up at home as part of the Conference Challenge, taking on Caldwell on Friday, Nov. 14 at 4:00 p.m.
