Colorado Springs, Colo. — Adelphi University's Lana Mignon De Wet, added another accolade this week after being named the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Offensive Player of the Week, as announced Wednesday morning.

De Wet earned the honor following a pair of hat tricks in the Panthers' victories over Molloy and Saint Michael's. Adelphi defeated the Lions, 8-0, last Tuesday, before securing a 5-0 win against the Purple Knights on Saturday to clinch the No. 2 seed in the conference championship bracket.

The junior has put together a season for the record books, tallying 23 goals and 51 points to date, while leading all of NCAA Division II in total goals and goals per game (1.38).

Following the team's 4-3 quarterfinal win over Southern Connecticut on Tuesday afternoon, the midfielder now has an opportunity to break the program's single-season records for goals and points, previously set by Mary Plotas in 2014.

De Wet and the Panthers return to action this Friday, Nov. 7, when they take on #3 Saint Anselm College in the NE10 Championship semifinal, scheduled for 4 p.m.
