Garden City, N.Y. - With a weekend of events happening on the Garden City campus of Adelphi University, the athletics department welcomes back alumni alongside their families and friends for the eighth annual Spirit Weekend, scheduled September 27-29. 

Baseball and softball will welcome back its alumni groups for on-field reps and tailgate while the men's soccer program hosts Saint Anselm College - all at noon. Field hockey follows on Motamed Field at 3:30 p.m. with a team tailgate to follow. 

The swimming and diving program sets up for a friendly meet against the current team inside the Woodruff Hall pool. 

Sunday morning hosts the For a Cause 5K/Kids Fun Run, which is set to support the Spectrum Designs Foundation - which is a nonprofit committed to fostering meaningful and inclusive career opportunities for adults on the Autism Spectrum. This selection was chosen as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Bridges to Adelphi program.
