Williamsburg, VA - It was a successful final day at the Colonial Relays for the Adelphi squad that attended, highlighted by
Bryan Combary's new program record in the 110 hurdles.
Breaking a record from 2015 held by Luke Pascale, Combary put up a heat-winning time of 14.82 to also break the 15 second threshold for the first time, and to place third overall.
In the relay portion, the quartet featuring Bryce Ridely,
Khalil Chester,
Christopher Holt and
Giovanni Senat moved up to #3 in the East Region for their 3:24.92 time in the 4x400, which saw them place 15th overall in the field.
Nearly besting his personal records in both the javelin and discus,
Matthew Wenz followed up his second place finish in the high jump on Friday with two top-10 finishes, placing third and ninth, respectively. His javelin launch of 45.18 meters falls just short of his best (45.64).
For the women,
Rachel Tucci ran her first outdoor 10K in less than ideal conditions but finished sub-40 and 10th overall in a time of 39:59.17. In the hurdles,
Amari Johnson ran a heat-topping 14.39 with a new personal record to place seventh amongst competition.
Both the 4x100 and 4x400 moved into the #3 spot among the East Region, reporting times of 49.14 and 3:59.21, respectively.
Claire O'Regan and
Gabrielle Griffin were part of both successes, the latter anchoring the 4x100 which placed ninth.
Also on the track, the Marsh sisters completed the 800 meter race in second and fifth, with Katherine clocking in at 2:12.41 and Isabel finishing in 2:13.92.
The whole team will be back together next weekend when they head to The College of New Jersey for the TCNJ Invite.
