Louisville, KY - The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) announced the 2022 Dynamic Division II All-Americans on Thursday, ahead of the Division II title game, scheduled for Sunday, May 29.
Joseph Duchnowski led the pack for Adelphi, after earning his second USILA All-American nod in a Panther uniform (first time as a First Team honoree), while also being named the North Region Offensive Player of the Year. Additionally the Port Washington attackman also picked up All-American kudos from USA Lacrosse Magazine on the Second Team.
Doubling up on honors as well was Long Stick Midfielder
Sean McGovern, who caps his career as a three-time USILA All-American, also with a USA Lacrosse Magazine accolade to boot.
Newcomer
Kyle Steinbach picked up his first honor in a Panther Uniform after being named to the Third Team - he ranked second on the team in scoring and third in total points. Rounding out the All-American recognition was
Nick Paris and
Dylan Renner who appeared on the honorable mention list for defense and goalkeepers, respectively.
Paris and Renner joined the three "teamers" on All-Region squads as well, which were announced earlier in the week.
Picking up All-Reigon Honorable Mention awards were Renner,
Jason Rebaudo,
James Hall and Eddie Perlstein.
Brian Hoerter was acknowledged on the All-Region Third Team as a short-stick defensive midfielder - the NYIT transfer put up an 86-141 performance at the faceoff and collected 67 ground balls in his first season with Adelphi.
Players selected for All-American were nominated by their coach and then received votes from the All-American Committee.
