West Babylon, N.Y. - As the ECC Championship is set to get underway tomorrow, Adelphi University sophomore bowler
Blanca Fraticelli received the conference's final Rookie of the Week honor of the regular season on Thursday.
After winning the award three times in the fall, Fraticelli will round out the year as the only four-time ECC Rookie of the Week.
Fraticelli recorded the highest overall frame average of any first-year bowler in the ECC last weekend at 195.8, which ranked sixth among all bowlers in the conference.
Specifically, Fraticelli's Baker stats continue to impress. She set career-highs in almost every category in the team's final tune-up of the season.
Fraticelli bowled a 202.8 frame average at the Northeast Roundup and averaged 9.38 pins on her first ball. She also threw over half of her Baker shots for strikes, en route to posting a scintillating 87.5 fill rate.
The Panthers will vie for their third conference title and first since 2017, when the ECC Championship begins tomorrow at Coram Country Lanes on Long Island. A champion will be crowned at the tournament's conclusion on Sunday.
