Garden City, N.Y. - A winter storm that is expected to make landfall along the New England coast on Friday has modified weekend plans for Adelphi University's athletic programs.

Most notably, the schedule for the NE10 Men's and Women's Basketball Championships has changed.

The men's first-round game against Assumption will now be played Friday (Feb. 25) at 7 p.m. at the CRS, while the women will host Franklin Pierce on Saturday (Feb. 26) at 3:30 p.m.

These changes will also affect the proceeding schedule for the remainder of the tournament. Please remain tuned to AUPanthers.com and the NE10's official website for further information as it becomes available.

Lastly, the hazardous weather has also canceled the season opener for baseball on Saturday against Saint Anselm. The two teams still expect to play Sunday at noon in Garden City.
