Louisville, KY - With the season less than a month away, the Adelphi University men's lacrosse program has been ranked eighth to start the 2022 campaign, as revealed by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) earlier this week. Additionally, team members Sean Mcgovern and
Joseph Duchnowski have earned USILA Preseason All-American Honors, with spots on the Second and Third teams, respectively.
Le Moyne, who was also ranked no.1 in the
Nike/USA Lacrosse Division II Men's Preseason Top 20 earned the same spot in the USILA poll, garnering all 23 first place votes. The Dolphins are one of five Northeast-10 Conference members who appear in the top-20, followed by the Panthers (#8), Saint Anselm (#10), Pace (#13), and Bentley (#19).
McGovern, named a Second Team honoree, was also recognized earlier this season as a USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason All-American First Team. He led the team in ground balls (outside of primary faceoff) with 40 and caused a team-leading 17 turnovers.
Representing the Panthers as a USILA honorable mention honoree last season was
