Grand Lake, Colo. - As announced by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Assocation (IWLCA) Wednesday, head women's lacrosse Coach
Pat McCabe has been chosen as the Division II Coach of the Year, for the first time in his tenure.
In his third year at the helm of the Panthers, McCabe guided the team to their second national title in three years, and the program's eighth overall.
Adelphi won its fourth straight Northeast-10 Championship crown in 2017, avenging a regular-season loss to Le Moyne in both the NE10 title game and the Division II Final Four.
The Brown and Gold returned to the National Championship game for the fourth consecutive year this past season, recording a 6-4 win over Florida Southern on the campus of Bloomsburg University, in a rematch of the title game of 2016.
Since joining the squad in 2015, McCabe has directed the team to a 63-3 overall record in three seasons.
