North Attleboro, Mass. - Following a third place showing at the Lock Haven Cross Country Invite, the Adelphi University men's cross country team has had two individuals receive weekly awards, announced by the Northeast 10 Conference office on Tuesday. 

Maxwell Krapf was named Athlete of the Week alongside teammate Tristan Cuevas, who was named Rookie of the Week - both are receiving this recognition for the first time this season. 

Krapf was responsible for a top-25 finish at the Lock Haven XC Invite, to help the men's team place third overall in the Crimson 'A' race. His time of 25:22 was a 35-second PR in the 8K, and good enough to place 15th in a field of nearly 200.

Cuevas ran a 27:01.2 in the Crimson 8K to place 99th overall. His time was a new personal best, shaving off over two minutes from the season opener earlier in September.

The teams return to action this weekend when they take on the 52nd Annual Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University on Friday, Oct. 2.
