North Attleboro, Mass. - Following a 2-0 week for the Adelphi University volleyball program, Madeleine Chaapel and Ada Isik were named the Northeast 10 Player and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, announced on Monday.

Isik has now earned her second consecutive Defensive Player of the Week nod for the Brown and Gold. This past week as the primary libero, Isik averaged 4.67 digs and 1.17 service aces per set. Against St. Thomas Aquinas College, she also chipped in four service aces. She currently leads the NE10 in digs, both in total (222) and average (4.63). 

Posting a team-leading 4.00 kills and 1.50 digs per set, Chaapel was awarded her first NE10 Player of the Week honor of the season. She committed just a single error against Bridgeport to accompany nine kills and a .471 hitting percentage. She nearly doubled her offensive output in the second game of the week, notching 15 kills against STAC with one service ace.

The Panthers now look towards their next match, where they will face Mercy University on Tuesday, Sept. 22.
