Garden City, N.Y. - The Adelphi University field hockey team continued its offensive surge Saturday afternoon, rolling past Dominican University, 8-0, at Motamed Field.
Jody Van Aardt led the way for the Panthers with her first career hat trick, while Jena Geels found the back of the cage twice. The Brown and Gold have now won back-to-back contests, outscoring their opponents 18-1 during that span.

How it Happened:
- After controlling possession throughout the opening quarter, Adelphi broke through in the 12th minute when van Aardt found the back of the cage to give the Panthers a 1-0 advantage.
- The Brown and Gold broke the game open in the second quarter, scoring four times in a span of just over six minutes.
- Geels started the second-quarter surge in the 23rd minute, converting off an assist from van Aardt to double Adelphi's lead.
- Just over a minute later, van Aardt struck for her second goal of the afternoon off a feed from De Wet.
- Leclair joined the scoring in the 28th minute, finishing another De Wet assist to push the advantage to 4-0.
- Less than a minute later, van Aardt completed the hat trick, once again receiving the feed from De Wet to send the Panthers into halftime with a 5-0 lead.
- Adelphi continued to apply pressure after the break, as Geels netted her second goal of the game less than five minutes into the third quarter.
- Duenas followed less than four minutes later with her first goal of the season, extending the lead to 7-0.
- Flores capped the scoring in the fourth quarter, finding the back of the cage off an assist from Santos in the 49th minute.
- The Panthers' defense allowed just three shots for the entire contest, with Dominican failing to record a shot in the first, second or fourth quarters.
