Waltham, Mass. – The Adelphi baseball team headed up to Massachusetts on Friday afternoon for its final regular-season set, taking on second-place Bentley.
Series History:
Adelphi (24-19, 20-14 NE10) is now 13-13 against Bentley since March 2002. The last set of games was a split doubleheader in Garden City on March 23, 2005. In Adelphi's game one win, All-American Dawson Montesa struck out 17 Falcons.
Game One: Bentley 18, Adelphi 6

How It Happened:
- The first six innings belonged to Bentley, as the home team jumped on the Panthers' pitching in a bullpen game to take a 12-0 lead.
- Adelphi had its chances but kept leaving runners on base.
- In the top of the eighth, the offense finally clicked for the Cats, cutting the Bentley lead in half with a six-run frame.
- McCleary started it off with an infield single, and Evan Carway drove in the Panther catcher with an RBI single.
- A throwing error scored two after a Ryan single, and Catuosco had a two-RBI double a few batters later.
- In the bottom of the inning, the Falcons responded, pushing their lead back to 12 runs with six of their own to secure an 18-6 win.
Game 2: Bentley 7, Adelphi 3 (F/7)

How It Happened:
- In game two, it was the Panthers who got on the board first.
- Catuosco drew a one-out walk, then stole second to put himself in scoring position for Albert Ramos.
- The Panther second baseman drove in Catuosco on a 1-2 count with a single to right field.
- Adelphi's lead was short-lived, as Bentley scored two in the bottom half of the inning after two singles and a sacrifice fly.
- The Falcons added two more in the second on a two-RBI double.
- Bentley's lead grew to 5-1 in the fifth, but the Panthers cut into it in the next half-inning.
- With two outs, Matt Ryan drilled a double to left field and scored after Giancarlo Rengifo followed with a double of his own. Justin Wilkinson then singled to make it 5-3.
- The Falcons' offense continued to produce, extending the lead back to four with a home run and a sacrifice fly.
- Catuosco doubled in the top of the seventh, but Adelphi could not push across any more runs, falling 7-3.
