Men's Tennis Stopped By No. 48 STAC, 5-2

Garden City, N.Y. — Head coach Rebecca Fakas and the Adelphi men's tennis team were back in action on Monday afternoon to take on nationally ranked foe No. 48 St. Thomas Aquinas.

The Panthers got out to a great start, winning two of the three doubles matches to earn the first point of the day. Andrea Albiero and Viktor Hockl won the No. 1 flight swiftly, 6-1, while Spyridon Papageorgiou and Leo Silverston were victorious, 6-4, as the No. 3 pairing.

St. Thomas Aquinas quickly earned a point back, winning the No. 4 singles match, and took the lead after winning the No. 2 match as well. Papageorgiou was able to level the score with a 6-3, 7-6 (8-6) win in the No. 3 match, but that was the last point Adelphi earned, as the Spartans ran away with a 6-2 win.

Adelphi, which currently sits in a tie for first place in the Northeast 10 with Assumption, will take on Southern New Hampshire on Friday afternoon in the team's regular season finale.
