Oceanside, N.Y. — Head coach Rebecca Fakas and the Adelphi men's tennis team were in action on Saturday night for their regular-season finale with Southern New Hampshire.
Leo Silverston and Spyridon Papageorgiou were victorious in the No. 3 doubles match, 6-4, but it was the Penmen who earned the first point of the day after 6-4 and 7-5 wins.
Silverston stayed hot with a 6-2, 6-1 win at the Panthers' No. 6, and Papageorgiou followed his doubles partner with a 6-1, 6-3 win of his own.
With momentum on Adelphi's side, Thomas Horsley pulled off a clean 6-3, 6-3 win, and Andrea Albiero clinched the match victory for the Panthers with a 6-3, 6-0 defeat of SNHU's No. 4.
The win clinched Adelphi a share of the Northeast 10 regular-season title and the No. 1 overall seed in the NE10 Championship.
Fakas and the Panthers will take on fourth-seeded Bentley in the semifinals on Thursday at SNHU.
