Women’s Tennis Dominates Franklin Pierce, 7-0

Rindge, N.H. — Head coach Rebecca Fakas and the Adelphi women's tennis team were back in action on Saturday afternoon, taking on Franklin Pierce in conference play.

The Panthers got off to a hot start, sweeping all three doubles matches. The No. 8-ranked Division II pairing of Roisin Boyd and Katarina Liedbeck defeated the Ravens' top duo, 6–4. The teams of Zuzanna Witkowska and Oda Solevag Halvorsen, as well as Genesis Beltran and Sara Lindeman, both won their matches, 6–3.

Adelphi continued its dominance in singles play, winning all six matches.

No. 37 Liedbeck won her match, 6–3, 6–2.

Witkowska was victorious at No. 2 singles, 6–0, 6–1.

Boyd was dominant in a 6–0, 6–0 win.

Solevag Halvorsen won the No. 4 flight, 6–3, 6–2.

Kayla Castellano won a three-set battle, 4–6, 6–3, 10–8.

Beltran capped off the day with a 6–1, 6–1 win at No. 6 singles.

The Adelphi women's tennis team will be back in action on Saturday, March 28, when the Panthers play host to Saint Anselm in Garden City.
