Colchester, Vt. — Head coach Rebecca Fakas and the Adelphi men's tennis team were back on the courts on Saturday afternoon to take on Saint Michael's.
The No. 3 doubles pairing of Leo Silverston and Spyridon Papageorgiou looked to set the tone for the day, dominating their match in a 6-0 win.
Saint Michael's took the No. 2 flight, and in the No. 1 match, Thomas Horsley and Louca Bertone had to battle but pulled out a win in a tiebreak to give the Panthers the first point of the day.
The doubles wins gave Adelphi momentum heading into singles, as Bertone won quickly, 6-1, 6-1.
Papageorgiou then won his No. 4 match 7-5, 6-3, before Viktor Hockl sealed the Panthers' win with a 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 victory in the No. 1 flight.
Andrea Albiero and Horsley each won in three sets to complete the 6-1 Adelphi victory.
The Cats will be back on the courts on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. when they play host to Yeshiva at Point Set Tennis Center.
