Waltham, Mass. – The Adelphi men's basketball team continued its road trip on Saturday afternoon as it fell to Bentley, 75-56. Shooting woes plagued the Panthers for the second straight game, as they shot only 39% from the field and 25% from three.

The last matchup between the Panthers and the Falcons was a thrilling 91-85 overtime win for Adelphi. Dayshaun Walton scored 25 for the Panthers, while Jarnel Rancy had an 11-point, 12-rebound double-double with six blocks.

Walton picked up his first double-double of the season with 20 points and 10 boards. He was tied for the team lead in points with Al-Fatir Connor.

Connor poured in 20 points on 8-13 shooting from the floor while going 2-4 from three.

Rancy recorded two blocks, putting him just four away from the all-time Division II record. He scored seven points and grabbed three rebounds.

Adelphi held an early lead for the first five minutes of the game before a 6-0 run from Bentley tied the game at 12.

The teams went back-and-forth for a bit, trading leads. The Falcons then jumped out to a six-point lead right before the eight-minute media timeout.

A Rancy three and a Walton jumper out of the timeout cut the deficit down to one, but Bentley responded with an 8-0 run.

Adelphi responded with buckets from Walton and Connor to put the Panthers only down five heading into the break.

The Falcons quickly increased their lead to 13, and it stayed in double digits for the remainder of the contest.

A 14-3 extended run was the nail in the coffin for Adelphi as it fell 75-56.
