North Attleboro, Mass. - After a fall season that saw a program-first Northeast 10 Championship in women's golf, Adelphi University is in second place in the annual Presidents Cup standings, announced by the league office last week.
With the help of three regular season championship titles in the fall season, Bentley University has taken an early lead in the Northeast 10 Conference Presidents Cup standings.
The NE10 Presidents Cup is presented annually at the conclusion of the academic year, signifying overall athletic excellence in the league. The honor is awarded to the institution that compiles the most cumulative points based on finishes in the regular season standings from all of its programs competing in league championships.
Adelphi, the two-time reigning Presidents Cup champion, earned its first title in women's golf and recorded three second-place finishes in field hockey, men's golf and volleyball this past fall. As a result, the women hold the no. 2 spot in the Pioneers Cup rankings (awarded for excellence in women's sports), and are just half a point behind Bentley.
On the men's side, the Brown and Gold rank fifth in the standings, which was helped largely by a runner-up finish in men's golf.
The Panthers are coming off a 2024-25 campaign where they won both the Presidents Cup and Founders Cup, while Bentley won the Pioneers Cup.
