Colchester, Vt. — Head coach Bill Ianniciello and the Adelphi baseball team traveled north on Friday afternoon to begin their long roadtrip at Saint Michael's. 

It was the 'Cats who were able to get on the board first thanks to a two-run blast from Joe Pellegrino, his first home run in ten games. 

Unfortunately for Adelphi, the Purple Knights would score three of their own in the bottom of the first to gain the lead. 

The 'Cats trailed by one until the top of the fourth when James Eden started in the inning off with an infield single. Giancarlo Rengifo would single next and then Bryan McCleary would drive in Eden to tie the ballgame up at three a piece. 

Saint Michael's would once again respond to Adelphi's offensive output, but this time in a big way. The home team put a seven spot up on the Panthers after five hits and two errors to put the game out of reach early. 

Jack Wishner tallied an RBI fielders choice and Rengifo drove in another run but five runs was all Adelphi could muster as it fell, 13-5. 

Eden picked up his second 4-5 game of the season, bringing his average up to .279.

The Panthers will return to the field on Saturday at noon to finish their two game series at Saint Mike's.
