Garden City, N.Y. — Winners of two straight, head coach Rebecca Fakas and the Adelphi men's tennis team returned to the court on Saturday afternoon to host Queens College.
The Panthers gained momentum early, sweeping all three doubles matches to earn the first point. The no. 1 pair of Reece Farrow and Hugo Munoz Reinoso dominated their match, winning 6-0.
Marko Jovanovic set the tone for singles play, coming away with a 6-4, 6-2 victory.
Queens took the no. 3 and no. 4 matches to put some pressure on the 'Cats. Louca Bertone then won his no. 2 match, 6-4, 7-6 and Rodrigo Ochoa clinched the win for Adelphi with a 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 victory.
The Panthers will return to the court on Tuesday when they travel down to Philadelphia to take on Jefferson at 2:00 PM.
