Philadelphia, Pa. — Head coach Rebecca Fakas and the Adelphi women's tennis team returned to the court on Thursday afternoon when they took on Jefferson in a non-conference matchup.
The Panthers swept all three doubles matches, earning the first point of the day. Katarina Lidebeck and Zuzanna Witkowska were victorious 6-3, Caterina Federici and Roisin Boyd won their match, 6-4 and the freshman duo of Sara Lindeman and Genesis Beltran earned a 6-3 win.
In the singles matches, Witkowska earned the first Panther win in the no. 2 match, 6-4, 6-3. Federici then won the no. 5 match 6-4, 6-2.
Roisin Boyd quickly won her no. 3 match 6-3, 6-3 and Genesis Beltran clinched the team victory with a 6-1,1-6, 6-3 win over her no. 6 opponent.
The Panthers return to action on Tuesday, April 8 when they travel to Queens at 1 p.m.
