Oceanside, N.Y. — The Adelphi tennis team returned to the court for the second day in a row on Sunday when they hosted the University of the District of Columbia.
The Panthers got off to a roaring start, sweeping all three doubles matches and earning the first point. Reece Farrow and Hugo Munoz Reinoso were back in action together, winning their no. 1 match, 6-2.
Spyridon Papageorgiou, who has been red hot of late, started off Adelphi with the first singles win, 6-0, 6-1.
Marko Jovanovic was victorious in his no. 1 match, 6-3, 6-1.
Andrea Albiero won the no. 3 match, 6-2, 6-4 and Louca Bertone clinched the victory for the Panthers with a 6-4, 6-4 win himself.
Head coach Rebecca Fakas and the Panthers will be back in action on Sunday when they play host to Queens College at noon
