Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Gibson's Eight Leads #2 Men's Lacrosse Over American Int'l, 25-5

Springfield, Mass. - Noah Gibson's new career-high in goals led the no. 2 Adelphi University men's lacrosse program to a landslide 25-5 victory over American International College on Tuesday, extending the program's win streak to 23.

Gibson's eight goals rivals Eamon Hall's eight tallies from a comeback win over Bentley in 2024, but still falls short of the Panther single game record, held by Bob Quinn '86 at nine.

Adelphi (8-0, 2-0 NE10) wasted no time getting on the board, as Gibson's strike 20 seconds in got the ball rolling. The Panthers rattled off nine straight before AIC (2-5, 0-2 NE10) lit their side of the scoreboard - just seconds before the first frame expired.

Four different players connected with Gibson, including Kyle Lewis to kick off the start of the second. The visitors put up another nine goals before the halftime break, stifling the competition, who only managed two over 15 minutes.

Adelphi's offense more than doubled the home team's shot attempts and won 26 attempts at the faceoff X. Michael Hendrickson was responsible for an 11-for-15 clip, while William Greaves went 8-for-10 and Kyle Stark managed a perfect 7-for-7 performance.

The second half featured a slew of fresh legs on the Panther attack, as Danny Fisenne got things going for the Brown and Gold at 13:42. He added his second before Stephen Bayer found the back of the cage and Michael Caiazzo landed a behind-the-back beauty past AIC netminder Logan Dobrowski.

Capping the scoring in the fourth for the Panthers were Arden Watson and Brendan O'Rourke while Aidan Green and Brandon Kessler tag-teamed the cage in the final two quarters, combining for five stopped shots.

Adelphi is back at home on Sunday, Mar. 23 for another NE10 matchup - this time featuring #11 Bentley at 1:00 p.m. The day will be highlighted by a Youth Day event - all local youth players and teams are invited to attend. Free shirts for players while supplies last. For more information or to RSVP, email John Curto, Coordinator of Athletic Engagement and Special Events at jcurto@adelphi.edu.
