Oceanside, N.Y. — Head coach
Rebecca Fakas and the Adelphi women's tennis tennis team opened up their spring season against nationally ranked Findlay on Thursday afternoon after finishing runner-up in the Northeast-10 Championship this past October.
The Panthers went down 0-1 after falling in all three doubles matches and it unfortunately would set the tone for the rest of the day.
Katarina Liedbeck and
Roisin Boyd battled in their respective no. 1 and no. 3 singles matches, but both would fall in two close games.
Sara Lindeman almost made a comeback in the no. 4 singles match, but could not complete it as Findlay won all six singles matches and would bring home a 7-0 victory.
The Panthers will return to the court on Sunday, March 23 when they host the University of the District of Columbia at 3:30 p.m.
