Manchester, N.H. - On the tail end of a two-game road trip, the Adelphi University women's basketball team fell to Saint Anselm College on Saturday afternoon, by a final score of 57-39.
The Hawks started the contest off on a 14-0 run, with 11 of those points coming from a combination of Melanie Hoyt and Elise MacNair. Senior
Kaitlyn O'Connell hit the lone field goal of the first quarter for the 'Cats, connecting on a driving layup late in the period.Â
Maura Carney started the next set of 10 knocking down the first three-point shot of the afternoon for the Brown and Gold, tallying her second from beyond the arc in five games. The remaining three points in the second quarter came courtesy of a
Victoria Morgan layup and
Me'Challe Cancer free throw before heading into the locker room.Â
Offense sprouted in the latter half, with six different players contributing by the end of the frame.

Saint A's found themselves back in control for the final 10 minutes, with a Katie Lemanski capping off an 8-0 run with around five to play.
Lateisha Willis scored her first points of the afternoon along with accumulating five rebounds and two steals by the final buzzer.Â
The team combined for eight swipes on the day, two of them coming from NE10 leader Robinson. Carney's eight points were a career-high, as well as tying for a game-high with O'Connell.Â
