Flushing, N.Y. — Head coach Rebecca Fakas and the Adelphi men's tennis team returned to the court on Friday morning when they took on nearby Division I St. John's to kick off their 2025 spring season. 

The 'Cats went down 1-0, dropping the #2 and #3 doubles matches. 

Marko Jovanovic battled in his #1 singles match but unfortunately lost it in two games, 5-7, 3-6. From there, St. John's swept the singles matches to go on and win, 7-0. 

Louca Bertone made his Adelphi debut while Andrea Albiero and Spyridon Papageorgiou made their collegiate debuts. 

The Panthers will return to the court on Saturday at 1 p.m. to host Boston University for their home opener.
