How It Happened:
- ,The first three points fell in favor of Adelphi, but the Mavericks got hot, scoring the next 11 while the Panther offense turned cold. While the visitors landed one shot on 15 attempts, the home team only went 5-for-12 from the floor to lead by eight after the opening quarter.
- A more competitive outing in the second, Adelphi quickly cut into their deficit on the back of three consecutive three-pointers - two from Chuffo and one from Madison Williams to trail by two. The Brown and Gold tried to keep it close, but an 8-1 run down the stretch allowed the hosts to maintain a 10-point advantage heading into the break.
- The Panthers were a hot 5-for-8 from three-point range in the second quarter alone.
- The Mavericks put up their greatest lead of 20 with 4:06 left in the third frame as Adelphi struggled to get any momentum. Mercy managed 23 points off Panther miscues in the game and scored 30 inside the paint.
- Despite outscoring the home team 14-13 in the final quarter, the Brown and Gold did not have enough to overcome Mercy in the end.
