Manchester, N.H. — Coming off of a trip to the ITA East Regional, the Adelphi men's tennis team returned to the court on Saturday night for a conference contest at Southern New Hampshire.
The Penman tried to jump out ahead in the doubles portion of the match with a no. three flight win but the Panthers would not be fazed as the duos of
Louca Bertone,
Thomas Horsley and
Viktor Hockl,
Andrea Albiero won their respective matches 6-2 and 6-1 to earn the first point of the day.
In singles play, Albiero dominated in his no. four match 6-3, 6-0 to keep momentum rolling for Adelphi. Horlsey followed that up with a 6-3, 6-4 win in his no.5 match before SNHU won the no. one flight to earn its first point of the day.
Southern New Hampshire then went on to win the no. six match, putting some pressure on the Panthers.
Spyridon Papageorgiou was locked into the battle in his match, but came out victorious 6-0, 4-6, 6-3 to seal the match for the Panthers. Bertone rounded out the day with a 3-6, 6-3, 6-1 comeback win.

Rebecca Fakas and the Adelphi men's tennis team will return to the court on Saturday, Oct. 18 when they play host to Saint Michael's.
