Garden City, N.Y. — After a dominating win over Bentley on Wednesday, the Adelphi women's tennis team returned to the courts on Saturday afternoon for their final matchup of the fall season against Bentley.
Just as they have all year, the Panthers impressed once again in doubles play, sweeping all three matches and earning the first point of the day. Katrina Liedbeck and Roisin Boyd won 6-3, Sara Lindeman and Genesis Beltran were victorious 6-2, and the pair of Zuzanna Witkowska and Oda Solevåg Halvorsen took home a 6-4 win.
In singles play, Adelphi kept rolling as Boyd, Solevåg Halvorsen, and Witkowska quickly earned 6-2, 6-2, 6-2, 6-2, and 6-3, 6-3 wins, respectively. Liedbeck earned a 6-1, 7(7)-6(2) victory in the No. 1 flight, and Lindeman ended the day with a 7-5, 6-3 win in her No. 5 match.
Head coach Rebecca Fakas and the Panthers will now take a break until the spring season, with their next match scheduled for February 21 against Saint Michael's.
