Garden City, N.Y. - The Adelphi University volleyball team picked up a 3-0 win over Chestnut Hill on Thursday evening, after play was stopped in the third set due to an injury.
Before the stoppage, the Panthers (16-7, 3-1 NE10) had won the first two sets and led 18-12 in the third. The set was officially ruled a forfeit in accordance with NCAA procedures following the break, resulting in a 3-0 victory for the home team.
Adelphi returns to Northeast 10 Conference play on Saturday, Oct. 25 when they head to Rindge, N.H. to take on the Ravens of Franklin Pierce University. Opening serve is set for 1:00 p.m.
