Indiana, Pa. - Another split for the Adelphi University volleyball team has them a game back from .500 after day two of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Invitational on Saturday.
Game 1: Adelphi 3, Lock Haven 0 (25-21, 25-16, 25-13)
The Panthers were nearly flawless through their first contest of the day - only committing 10 errors through three sets, with an impressive .326 team hitting percentage to boot. Three different players all recorded nine kills piece, in

Kalena Ricketts and
Macarty McQueen, with the first two recording no errors. The trio also combined for nine block assists as Adelphi held a 7-2 edge in total blocks for the match.Â
Kambel Fiser was responsible for pacing the offense with 31 assists, while also recording her third double-double of the season with 14 digs.Â
Game 2: West Virginia State 3, Adelphi 1 (26-24, 19-25, 25-27, 20-25)
In its fourth game in two days, the Brown and Gold struggled to seal the deal against the Wasps of West Virginia State, using extra points in two of the four sets played.Â
First year
Emilia Cascapera registered a new career-best 16 kills, while McQueen maintained her consistency with 14 of her own.Â
Down five in the opening set, Cascapera kickstarted a six-point run that knotted the game at 19-all, making it anyone's frame. Late attack errors from the Wasps, coupled with a service ace for McQueen extended the 'Cats win streak to four sets (including the morning sweep). Another late tie in the third frame saw Adelphi with a chance to take the lead in the contest, but were unfortunately unable to close the door as West Virginia State lodged the final two points.Â
The Panthers were inconsistent at the net in terms of offense in the final set, recording 12 kills but still collecting six errors, while the Wasps were hitting at a .324 clip.Â
