Lexington, KY - In the first installment of the Division II Poll, the Adelphi University volleyball program is receiving votes as announced by the AVCA/TARAFLEX on Friday afternoon. 

The Panthers, who are coming off a 26-win season, Northeast-10 Conference runner-up trophy and top-seed in the East Region are back seeking vengeance in 2024. The season gets underway the week following Labor Day, when the team heads south for four contests. 

No other teams from the East appear in the official top-25, yet Bentley is the only other team from the conference and region to be receiving votes. 

The defending national champion Cal State LA, earns 33 first place votes en route to its position at the top. Tampa appears at no. 2 with seven votes as every team in the top five received at least two. 

To-date, Adelphi has never appeared in the top-25 despite 14 appearances in the NCAA tournament since 2007. Head Coach Danielle Macknight is a three-time AVCA East Region Coach of the Year honoree and last season produced four AVCA Honorable Mention All-Americans.
